Brant & Cochran, an axe restoration company contacted Collective IQ to help develop their brand that reflected the quality of the American axes they were restoring.

In collaboration we created the branding guidelines, identity, and marketing materials for this new business. Through research, a focus group and discussion we built a brand that reflects both the owner's family history and Maine's history. The look and feel of the brand is a blend of images and illustrations ranging from 1800's lumber camps to technical drawings of axe heads. We made an effort to create an brand that felt authentic to the extensive history of axe making in Maine as well as the level of craft in each axe B&C restores. A modular print system was created to insure flexibility to customize their communication needs to fit the particular situation as they change and grow. (more images coming soon)
